Name of the project
Visit the home village of life-cossack Timofei Jaschik Novominskaya in the Krasnodar region.
Purpose of the project
While working on a book of memoirs of T. Jaschik we found out that one of his daughters was still alive. It was 93 years old Anna Timofeevna. Our society has decided to visit her.
During the visit to the Krasnodar region, we stopped at the Krasnodar Regional Museum and the local Cossacks museum, where we discovered rare materials about the youngest daughter of the Emperor Alexander III and Empress Maria Feodorovna; Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia, who stayed in 1919-1920 in Novominskaya village.
Result
Visit to the Krasnodar region gave sufficient results. Memories of Anna Timofeevna were added to the book of memories of her father – the valiant cossack Timofei Jaschik.
Additional materials were collected for the book of memoirs, diaries of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia about the period of Her and Her family life in the Crimea from 1918 till 1919, Her trip to Novominskaya village, birth of the second son Gurij in the village and about Her life of that period.
Seven months after our visit Anna Timofeevna died. Nevertheless, because of our visit, she managed to read her father’s memoirs.
