Located in the city of Tver fr. Paisiy had a hard time with Covid-19. He was admitted to an infectious diseases hospital. Doctors fought for his health. Fortunately, the illness was defeated.
In gratitude to the hard work of doctors, father Paisiy came up with the idea to create and set up a monument. According to the idea, such a monument can be installed in the park of the Sixth City Clinical Hospital in Tver.
The three figures are united by a semicircular silhouette. Behind the backs of the doctors, a huge virus is a symbol that they have entered the zone in which the virus is rampant. This virus is like a snake, like one who kills others with his poison. Doctors step on the snake’s throat.
Fr. Paisiy has neither special tools nor normal work conditions for creation of the statue. He is forced to cut the folds with a clerical knife. The cell is cramped, it is inconvenient to turn around with a sketch. He has to grind the clay and dust right next to his bed. White modeling paste, which he uses, has its drawbacks. It is quick-drying and does not accept subsequent layers. For many days of work, such a paste cannot be used.
God, bless fr. Paisiy in his work so that he will finish it and the monument will take its rightful place.
