2006. Exhibition “The Romanov family in Crimea.” Joint project with the House-Museum “Livadia” (Crimea).
Purpose of the project
The exhibition was organized in the Crimea in the “Livadia” palace in 2006. The Palace was built in 1914 for the Tsar Nicholas II and his family. The Palace was used by the family with great joy and love. Family, servants, guests of the Palace enjoyed the palace in the short period before the revolution. During the same period, from 1918 to 1919, the Empress Maria Feodorovna was in the Crimea, in the Palace Dulber, in the detention. Together with Her were Her daughters Xenia Aleksandrovna with family, Olga Aleksandrovna with family, two cossacks Timofey Jaschik and Kirill Polyakov, maid of honour Zinaida Mengden, admirals, generals and other faithful to the Empress people.
Result
An international exhibition in the “Livadia” Palace, that lasted 7 months, allowed numerous tourists to get acquainted with history of the Romanov family, the Danish Royal House. A historic Conference was held. A Danish touristic group was present at the opening of the exhibition in the “Livadia” Palace. In the course of 7 days the Danish tourist delegation got acquainted with culture of Crimea and ancient palaces formerly belonging to the family of Romanovs.
